Tears fell from the eyes and wet the fuzzy brown cheeks of the mare as she lay in her bed, trembling in utter anguish and outright torment that was the result of such a terror, such an abomination, such an unmitigated cataclysm that she couldn’t believe such a thing could possibly happen to her. Indeed there was no amount of preparation she could have done that could brace her for the suffering in her heart as she bawled her eyes out. She just felt so hopelessly alone in her darkest moment.
